My Learning Journey with UpGrad: Raw and True
When I first decided to join this course by UpGrad on Digital Marketing in association with Mica I was overwhelmed and nervous at the same time, since I am newly married yet want to grow in my field also a working professional at the same time, it was kind of challenging since I felt left out as many of my peers have done more than 50% than me as I was hospitalised with stomach infection during that time and the funny part is that I did my first class in my hospital cabin no-507 but yet as the quote says, “Slow and Steady wins the Race,” though I am still in this race but not slower anymore I guess, thanks to UpGrad Buddy and technical team to always help out in both and front end and clearing all of my doubts in no time.
Though, I have shared most of it here but this is just the trailer let me share the entire picture with you. So, hope you’re all keeping eye tight focus on the screen right now and Let’s Begin!
The Initial Hurdles: Technical Glitches
Let me be very honest that I am really very poor when it comes to technology and yet starting with something new isn’t always smooth as butter as it seems to be. In the beginning, I faced a few technical issues like most of my peers since the learning platform is new and still in progress of being fully modified. The platform in some modules lagged a lot, and some modules were not even opening but it did open with technical team’s support. So, once again thanks for being there and helping us out throughout.
Discovering a New Digital World Together
Oh My God! This was exactly my first reaction when I was going through the modules and the live sessions as there is so much to learn yet in such a small span of time which was a bit challenging at times. Especially, Sir Ranganayaka’s classes just feels like a powerpack upgraded human form of GPT 4.
As most of us know that in corporate world we don’t address anyone by sir/ma’am but here, I am addressing him as sir since he’s not only a teacher but a Guru of the Digital Era. I hope I am not buttering a lot! I am just being honest about the influence he has made on me.
The Small Wins: Skills that Actually Matter
Despite the initial technical, personal, professional challenges, this course has converted me into a fighter making me challenge each and every day without fail. Here are some key takeaways that made it worth it till now:

The practical assessments and the live project of which this very blog is have been a highlight and a stepping stone for a hopefully greater future tomorrow. It is helping me to apply those skills to real world scenarios.

The mentors and instructors from Siddharth Sir, Ranganayaka Sir, Naina and others throughout the recorded modules share valuable insights that have refined my skills and approach digital marketing with a creative plus strategic mindset.
- Community Support
Being a part of a huge community of learners has been motivating. Sharing ideas, discussing those small tasks given in between the live sessions has made this whole experience even more challenging and fulfilling at the same time.
What is Next? Putting it All into Practice, Ofcourse!
As I continue learning with this course, I am excited to upgrade myself more with industry advanced topics like email marketing, data analytics, social media management, etc. The knowledge that I have gained so far has already opened up new opportunities for me, both personally and professionally. I am way more confident now and by the end of this digital marketing journey, I will be ready to take on the digital marketing world.
Final Opinion
Looking back, my experience with UpGrad was a mix of challenges and wins. The technical issues here and there are sometimes frustrating, but they taught me the importance of patience. And the skills I have developed so far by the website development assignment have made every hurdle worth it.
If you’re someone like who loves challenges and has a creative niche towards the new era of digital world then my advice will be to go for this particular course without any second thought. The skills that you will learn here are not only valuable but are essential for a digital first world nowadays.
